This is a good opportunity given by our Almighty God to hear what help us in this journey we have already started, We are going to talk about decision but focusing on This Topic:

  • James 1. 5, 6

5If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.


  • Proverbs 3.5,6

5Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.


Decision can be defined as the act of making up your mind about something. Or a position, opinion or judgment reached after consideration.

= conclusion, determination.


In our daily life, we are counting with many challenging situations and struggling as dealing for better living status as well as passing throughout this world for the target of obeying Jesus Christ as He is the way and the truth

We need to make choices, to determine the most preferable, to do what are the best for the society or for ourselves, but still being in dilemmas.

There are both good and bad decisions, Can you ask yourself what we need as Christians in order to make a good decision??

Let us see some elements that can help us during the time we need to take decision.


  • Faith (A strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny)

We must have complete confidence in Jesus Christ. Take example of Abraham, he was called by God and request him to left his native place towards where The Lord will show him. In that time, the lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you” (Genesis 12.1)

The Holy Scriptures say that “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. (Hebrews 11.8)


  • Put our weakness upon our Savior, according to our human body; we can’t do any right things; we are unable to reach on what God want to us.

Therefore we need to surrender all to Jesus Christ; Apostle Paul said thathe could do all things through Him who strengthens him. (Philippians 4.13)


  • Trust in the Lord, We may put our trust to the parents, our rich uncle; generally to our family members for those who have them but in the challenging situations where a good decision needed, they just left us in those troubles.

Know this “Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” (Isaiah 26.4) and for that after Praying we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all thing. (Hebrews 13.18)


  • Know that God in almighty, for a such level in education; for what a field obtained the highest degree awarded in graduate study (PhD), Allow me to say this: when I was making conversation with a friend, we discussed about that degree/PhD and he said as it was an abbreviation stand for Permanent head Disease,

If it’s like that us remember this He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalms 91.1) meaning if all our minds are under control of God; fear not; worry not for anything. Job said “The Almighty—we cannot find him; He is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.”(Job 37.23)


As we saw, we must always ask God for appropriate wisdom, ask him with faith without doubting, trust in the Lord with all our hearts, dear friend do not lean on our own understanding, just in all our ways admit the existence of good decision in Him, and he will make straight our paths.
